Dolores G. Warren

April 7, 1940 — January 23, 2024

Marietta

Dolores G Warren, age 83, of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. A private family Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wayne Warren, son, Michael Craig Warren and daughter, Kelly Dee Warren.

Dolores was born on April 7, 1940 in Attala, Alabama. She graduated from Etowah High School, Gadsden Alabama in the spring of 1958 and married the Love of her life Ernest Wayne Warren in the fall of 1958. In 1959 they moved to Marietta Georgia, where she lived the remaining 64 years of her life. She attended business school where she developed a love for working with numbers. Dolores would spend the next 47 years working as Office Manager, Account and General Managers in the automotive industry. After retiring she worked from home, keeping the books for her brother's trucking company James Garner Trucking of Amarillo Texas.

Dolores was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As much as she loved her work her greatest Joy in life came from being with her Grandchildren to whom she was known as "Granny". Dolores was an example of strength and perseverance throughout her life. She had a feisty personality with an "In Charge" attitude which was admired and respected by many. One of her best qualities was her willingness to give freely and help others. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, her love and knowledge of the Savior Jesus Christ continued to grow. She had a Testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and of His resurrection. She was grateful to know she would be reunited with her family after death.

She is survived by three daughters, Scarlett Melissa Warren of Marietta, Georgia, Tammy W. (Jim) Barnes of Clarkesville, Georgia and Kelsey W. Bryant of Marietta, Georgia, ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, a brother, James Garner of Amarillo, Texas and sister Joan Minter of Acworth, Georgia and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something nice for someone in need, in Honor of Dolores.
