DF Lane

DF Lane, 87, of Marietta, GA passed away December 30, 2023.  Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Geraldine Lane.  DF was born September 11, 1936 in Newport, TN; son of the late James Glenn and Gypsy (Brady) Lane, Sr.  DF was a history teacher and High School administrator for Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland.  Survivors include daughter Leigh Anne (Seamus) O’Shea; grandchildren Caitlin O’Shea and Tara (Christian) Koopman; siblings Nancy Dove, Kenneth (Wanda) Lane, Wesley (Jackie) Lane and Julia Knox.  DF was preceded in death by daughter Lynette Kaye Stoutenburg and siblings James Lane, Welton Lane, Glenn Lane Jr. and Mary Lane.  Funeral will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 4 pm with visitation an hour prior.  West Cobb Funeral Home, Marietta, GA.  Donations may be made to the Joyful Singers at McEachern Memorial UMC or to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
