David John Carter

David John Carter, age 69, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta, Georgia. 

A native of New Bedford, MA, Mr. Carter moved to Marietta, GA in 1991. He graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He retired from First American Resources Company as National Sales & Technical Director after 26 years of employment. Mr. Carter also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, gardening, and snow skiing. He was a devoted Grandpa and absolutely adored his four grandchildren. He also had a love for the outdoors, and he enjoyed playing a card game called Hand and Foot with his beloved wife every day.

Survivors include: Wife of 46 years, Barbara Carter; 3 Children, David (Katherine) Carter, Sacramento, CA, Christine Carter, Marietta, GA, and Laura (Andrew) Bryant, Peachtree Corners, GA; 5 Siblings, Robert (Kathryn) Carter, Margaret McQuilkin, Peter (Cheryl) Carter, Anne O'Shea, and Paul Carter; 4 Grandchildren, Benjamin Carter, Miles Bryant, Alexander Carter, and Emily Bryant; Many Nieces and Nephews.
