Our mother, Celisena Desir was born on June 3, 1936 in the 11th section of Opak, Anse a Galet, Lagonave commune in the western department of Haiti. Everyone in the neighborhood where she lived called her Tina. Celissena's mother was named Charlemise Pompy and her father was named Celius Desir. Celisena parents had 12 childrens: Ussansia, Desilhomme, Celisena, Alourde, Joseph, Selirese, Saint-Elène, Delouius, Luceïs, Ilovi, Tessier, Seraman.
Our mother Celisena Desir had 10 children: 3 daughters and 7 sons: Rene, Rosemond, Sergot, Yanick, Sebastian, Saintyl, Nanotte, Zacharie, Denose, Alfred. She left behind 9 children and 39 grandchildren in Haiti and the United States. Our mother had the opportunity to see the 3rd generation of her children.
In 2019, our Mother fell ill due to high blood pressure that paralyzed her for 6 years and she passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at around 4 a.m., at the age of 89.
Our mother loved church very much; she was someone who maintained good relationships with her family, her children and the people where she lived such as Lagonave Opak, Port-au-Prince and Gressier, as well as in the United States, especially the State of Georgia. "Dear mother, we will never forget the little words you used to repeat every time we made you mad: Timoun Alekile!!!" Our mothers had the following professions: agriculture and commerce!
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Open Bible Tabernacle Haitian Assembly in Austell, Georgia. Burial will follow at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville, Georgia.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
