Carolyn Ruth Young

Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Young, age 99, of Marietta, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 16, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Tommy Young and Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will follow at North East Piney Grove Cemetery in Marietta.

Born in Woodstock, GA, Mrs. Young had lived most of her life in Cobb County. She worked as a seamstress at the Roswell Manufacturing Company for over 40 years. She was a longtime member of Bethleham Baptist Church, and was the last living charter member of North East Piney Grove Baptist Church. She also loved cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her 5 children, Martha Walker, Canton, GA, Louise Seed, Acworth, GA, Robert (Judy) Young, Marietta, GA, Rev. Tommy Young, Villa Rica, GA, and Michael (Kathy) Young, Douglasville, GA; 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 2pm until 4pm and 5pm until 7pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.
