Carolyn Ekwutosi Eze, a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and Catholic, passed away on January 19th in Atlanta, GA, surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Enugu State to Michael and Florence Onwuha, Carolyn will be remembered for her generosity, humility, and grace. She found joy in community, fashion, dancing, and singing. Carolyn dedicated her life to her family, always offering prayers and guidance. Affectionately known as Carol to her friends, she was an active and proud member of the Daughters of Zion Prayer Group, Catholic Women’s Organization, Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community of Atlanta (NICCA), Nigerian Association of Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical Scientists in the Americas, (NAPPSA), and St. John Vianney African Parishioners.
Carolyn is survived and deeply missed by her loving husband, Peter; children, Onyedikachi, Udochukwu, Nnedimma, and Okezie; brothers, Afam, Damian, Ani, Amauchi; sisters, Helen, Chinasa, Ngozi, Rose; nephews, Akachukwudiya, Ugochukwu, Chinsom, Chijoke, and Chinedu; nieces, Hypolite, Pascaline, Ifenanya, Chinwendu, Ogechukwu, and Nnenna. She will be remembered by her friends and family for the depth of her love and the conviction of her faith.
Visitation and funeral mass will be held on March 14th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Saint Francis Table Soup Kitchen, a cause close to Carolyn’s heart.
