Beverly Ann Bishop

Mrs. Beverly Ann Bishop, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Jake Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm prior to the service on Saturday, October 3rd at the funeral home.

Born in Anniston, Alabama, Mrs. Bishop lived in Cobb County for most of her life before moving to Blue Ridge in 2008. She, along with her husband, owned Southern Quality Foods and operated Burger King Restaurants for over 25 years. But her passion was tennis, both a s a player, and a coach who loved giving tennis lessons. She was a longtime member of both the USTA and ALTA organizations. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, all kinds of music, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Carl Bishop, and a sister, Rebecca "Beckie" Hess.

She is survived by her son, Julian Brent (Christine) Bishop, Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Mary Bowie Hicks; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jake) Butler; grandchildren, McKenna and Julian Bishop; long-time friend, Greg Ash; and many nieces, nephews, her beloved friends in Alabama, and the Shell Sisters.
