Ashleigh E. O'Brien, age 40, passed away on December 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Alex O'Brien, uncle, William Bishop and grandparents, William and Alice "Faye" Bishop.
Ashleigh was born on March 22, 1985, in Stone Mountain, GA to Joseph and Karen O'Brien. She was a rare combination of mensa brilliance and the gift of artistic talent. She was quiet, reserved, gentle and shy but if you persisted, she would allow you to get close. Ashleigh had a witty free spirit with a dark sense of humor. Peaceful by nature but if pushed in the wrong way she could be scrappy. She was a deep thinker, lover of justice, a hater of BS, strong and independent person. Ashleigh found it very difficult to ask for help or accept it but was quick to help others in need. She enjoyed college football, cooking, painting and other creative endeavors, a lover and champion of all of God's two, four or no legged creatures, especially those in need of rescuing.
Ashleigh is survived by her mother, Karen O'Brien, sister, Adrienne O'Brien (Eric) Moore, nephews, Connor Robinson, Jace, Axel, Everett, and niece, Daisy Moore, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and especially uncle Mark (Pam) Bishop and uncle Steve Bishop.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for in the spring of 2026.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Road Trip Home, P.O. Box 372, Acworth, GA 30101 or at www.roadtriphome.org/donate.
