With deep sadness, we share the passing of Anthony (Tony) Manning, who left us on the evening of November 12, 2025. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, he later made Georgia his home. Though he embraced the South, he was always a New Yorker at heart. Tony was a man whose presence brought warmth and comfort to others. His smile was full of life, his blue eyes were always bright with kindness, and his gentle nature drew people in wherever he went. He had an effortless way of connecting with others and turning simple encounters into meaningful moments.
Tony proudly served his country in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his discipline, resilience, and sense of duty. After his service, he continued to build a meaningful and hardworking life, spending many years with Eastern Airlines before later dedicating himself to Arrow Exterminators until his retirement. In every role, he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the ease with which he connected with people.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Joseph Manning II, his mother, Josephine Manning (Dejoseph), and his brother, John Manning (Jane). He leaves behind his wife, Mary Manning, his daughter, Shannon Bridges (Tim), and his grandson, Porter, who will forever hold him close to their hearts and honor the love he freely shared. Additionally, he is survived by two brothers, Ed Manning (Loretta) and Vincent Manning, one sister, Kathleen Hoffman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be held at West Cobb Funeral Home on Friday, November 21st, at 2:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and reflect on the impact he made.
Though his loss is immeasurable, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the kindness he spread throughout his journey.
