Anita Louise Sanders Loftin

Anita Sanders Loftin, 74, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong Marietta resident, Anita was a proud graduate of Osborne High School, Class of 1969. She devoted 32 years to public service, retiring from the federal government in 2006.

Anita shared 40 years of marriage with her husband, Mark Loftin. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy came from time spent with the people she loved.

She loved reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and was a lifelong and loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves. She also cherished visiting the beach, where she enjoyed long walks along the shore, searching for shells and shark teeth.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mark Loftin; her son, Jarrad Vaughn, and his wife, Olivia Vaughn, of Peachtree Corners; her grandsons, Ethan Vaughn and Elliott Vaughn; her sister, Lynn Sanders Jackson of Jonesboro; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Anita will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the warmth and comfort she brought to everyone around her.
