She was born in Savannah, Georgia, on May 10th, 1925.

She meant so much to many of her family and friends, but above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother. The love, patients, and kind spirit are unmatched. She brought sweet and loving energy everywhere she went, with her gentle and compassionate heart. Her most powerful attribute was making those surrounding her feel her loving presence. Her unconditional love and kindness radiated through her actions and words. She was the best mother a child could have, pouring all her love, devotion, and energy into her children. She loved spending time with family and friends. To those that knew her, everyone she encountered became family. She was a giving woman and spent many of her days giving unconditional love, kindness, and anything she had to help others. During the years that God blessed her, she used to touch the lives of so many whiles on this earth. Her actions are a visible testament to God doing work through her.

Zella, accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member at John Petree Church of Christ of Powder Springs and remained an active member until her passing. To remain active in the community, she was a member of the Cobb Senior Citizen Center of Austell, Georgia.

Zella was preceded in death by her son Wesley Wiles and grandson Joshua Byrd. At the time of death, she was the only living sister to her many siblings that passed before her.

Zella leaves to cherish her loving memories:

Special Love, Robert Clark of Savannah Georgia; Her daughter, Lana M. Byrd of Powder Springs, Ga; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving family and friends. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
