Yvonne Haynes

On December 1, 1939 in Guyana, South America, God blessed the late Rebecca Beckels and John Adams with their beautiful daughter, Yvonne Haynes. On Wednesday February 22, 2012, at 4:50am, the lord needed an additional angel in heaven, so he called Yvonne home. Through his grace she survived Heart disease called Amolydosis.



At the age of 14 she met the late Amid Muhammed, from this union they produced ten wonderful children, the late Keith Haynes, Avril Brotherson, Vera-Ann Haynes, Raymond Haynes, Roxanne Stewart, Clifford Haynes, the late Brian Haynes, Claudette Haynes, Alfred Haynes and Kevin Haynes. She is also the proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren, 12 great grand children, seven brothers two living, three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.



At the tender age of twelve she was baptized in the Pentecostal faith and remained a faithful servant of God up until the moment when she took her last breath.



In Guyana, Yvonne was actively involved in Church, she volunteered for a plethora of positive activities that had a positive impact on the growth and nurturing of youths.



She migrated from Guyana to the United States in order to be near to her family in the summer of 2005.



One of Yvonne’s favorite sayings was “the covering of the blood of Jesus should be always with you”. That was so impactful whenever she prayed those words, that as a result of that it resonated in my prayer.



Yvonne Haynes-AKA Great Mommy to me, was a beautiful, extraordinary, powerful, amazing, no nonsense, direct woman who saw the good in everyone. Her smile was so contagious that it lifted the spirit of everyone around her.



Even in her weakest moments she continued to praise and worship her Lord Jesus Christ until she was called home on February 22, 2012.
