Wycliffe "Ronnie" Dunkley

Wycliffe Ransford Dunkley, "Ronnie Dunkley," passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 in Marietta, GA. A funeral mass will be held for Ronnie on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 1 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 6-9 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home. Also, at 7:00 PM during visitation on Wednesday, the family and friends will share memories of Ronnie during a celebration of life service.
Ronnie was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He had a great love for travel, sports, history, and music. He was also known to his family as a math wiz. He was a very devoted older brother to his siblings and made sacrifices for his family, including leaving school at an early age to care for them and his mother in her time of need. Ronnie worked at The Riese Organization for nearly 20 years, during which time he became the Director of Operations. After his tenure there, he went on to open his own restaurant which he ran for several years.
Ronnie was also a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Daisy Dunkley; his brothers, Desmond and Kenneth Dunkley; his sister, Carmen Cornute; and his grandchildren, Paul and Joseph Shaw.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Stella Dunkley (nèe Sanchez-Abadia) of Marietta, GA; his sons, David (Jill) Black of London, England, and Desmond (Sonia) Dunkley of West Long Branch, NJ; his daughters, Joan Kaye (Dale) Shaw of Central Islip, NY, and Jacqueline (Alton) Taylor of Stone Mountain, GA; his grandchildren, Victoria Black, Gemma Black, Akene (Kimberly) Dunkley, Jenelle Dunkley, Christina Shaw, Stephen Shaw, Andrea Shaw, Daniel Shaw, Sarah Shaw, Elizabeth (Davonte) Mayes, Michelle Shaw, Jonathan Shaw, Victoria Calvert (Max), and Alexandria Stubbs; his great grandchildren, Harvey, Evie, August, Skylar, Cecelia, Ayden, and Hollis; his brothers, Keith (Beryl) Dunkley, Lascelle (Angela) Dunkley, and Owen "Chubby" (Ellen) Dunkley; and many nieces and nephews.
