William Clelland Jordan, Sr., age 97, of Austell, Georgia passed away Friday, January 7, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta with Mr. Douglas McGriff officiating.
A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Jordan Served in the United States Navy during WWII. Afterwards, he received his degree from Georgia Tech and re-enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served in the military for a total of 16 years. He was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wm Paul and Callie Jordan, a brother, Glenn Davis Jordan, and 2 brother-in-laws, Cecil Whitlock and Fred McGriff.
Survivors include: Wife of 54 years, Gertrude "Trudy" Jordan; 4 Children, Judith Repka and husband Jeff, Naples, FL, Wm C. "Bill" Jordan, Jr. and wife Shay, Winter Park, FL, Marjorie Wilcox and husband Jerry, Bonita Springs, FL, and Susan Scammon and husband Ron, Melissa, TX; 2 Sisters, Coleen Whitlock, Canton, GA, and Calista McGriff, Marietta, GA; 9 Grandchildren, Melissa Villa, Kari Schiff, Mandi Schiff, Julia Wilcox, Ron Scammon, Stacy Francioni, Rick Scammon, Rob Scammon, and Alex Jordan; Many Nieces, Nephews and other family and friends.
