Virginia Pauline Brooks

Virginia Pauline “Polly” Brooks, age 77, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Macland Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. A native of Smyrna, Mrs. Brooks moved to Powder Springs in 1970. She was an active member of Macland Baptist Church, where she was involved with the Choir, the W.O.M., Vacation Bible School, and her Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Cheatham Hill Community Club, and the Campbell Girls Alumni Group. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eva Austin. Survivors include: Husband; Harold E. Brooks, Powder Springs, GA; Children, Penny Bohrn and husband Eric, Burke, VA, Kris Brooks and wife Shannon, Marietta, GA, and Amy Panter and husband Thomas, Dallas, GA; Sister, Corine Cates and husband Walter, Smyrna, GA; Grandchildren, Kayla O’Hara and husband, CPL Luke O’Hara, Kassi Brooks, and Madison Panter; Many nieces and nephews.
