LETNER, THOMAS “TOM” THEODORE, 73

Thomas “Tom” Theodore Letner, 73 went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2015. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him through his many challenges in his life.

For over 25 years, Tom worked at Atlantic Steel in Atlanta as a machinist. There he met many good friends and acquaintances. He was a very kind man, a wonderful and devoted family man, who always had time to stop along the way to answer a question for a friend or help solve a problem, no matter how small. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with God.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, Van Letner and his mother, Jean Letner. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Hill Letner; 1 son, Jeff Letner; 1 daughter, Lisa Letner Kennemore; 1 son-in-law; Mike Kennemore; 3 Grandsons, Josh and Brandon Miller, Will Kennemore; 2 Daughter-in-laws; Alicia Miller and Heather Kennemore and one special friend of the family, Danielle McGivney.

Visitation will be held on October 23, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, GA, and the Funeral Service will immediately follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Rev. Vermon Parmer and Brandon Miller officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday morning at 11 am at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.
