Samuel Auborn "Smitty" Smith, age 90, of Marietta, Georgia passed away July 16, 2021. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 19, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.

Auborn was a native and lifelong resident of Marietta, GA. He worked as Fleet Manager for Exide Batteries in Atlanta for 26 years, and retired as a Flight Line Manager from Lockheed Martin after 17 years.

Survivors include: wife of 64 years: Annell Abernathy Smith of Marietta, GA; daughter: Alicia Smith of Powder Springs, GA; son: Andrew Smith of Powder Springs, GA; a number of brother in-laws, sister in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Auborn was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Andrew and Willie Mae Wigley Smith of Marietta; brother: Hubert Smith of Marietta; sisters: Odean Biddy, Hilda Dempsey, and Louise Sims all of Marietta and Sarah Turner of Cartersville, GA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
