Robert John Maffey

Robert "Bob" John Maffey, age 87, passed away on November 11, 2017. He was a native of Lynn, Massachusetts, but has lived in Marietta, Georgia for the past five years. He is predeceased by his parents John and Leonore Maffey and his sister Donna Fournier. He served in the United States Army and retired after 33 years from Westinghouse Savannah River Site (Bechtel Corporation), Aiken, South Carolina.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 17 at 10 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lacy Street, Marietta, Georgia. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Rosa Maffey, five children, four grandchild, and eight great grandchildren, nieces Melissa Gagnier (Michael), Zooey, Quinn, stepchildren, Jeff Cox, Sheri Loflin (Steve), and Pam Lightsey, and grandchildren Jay, Sydney, Matthew, and Ryker.

Bob was a constant supporter of Boys Town Children's Home ( https://secure.boystown.org/Donate ),
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center ( https://giving.mskcc.org ), and American Heart Association (< https://donatenow.heart.org >.) In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made in Bob's honor to any of the above organizations.
