Ray Dowda

July 29, 1941 — February 27, 2015

Ray Dowda, age 73, of Hiram passed away February 27, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 2 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery.

Ray was an Atlanta native but an Auburn fan. He loved fishing, and he would fix anything for anybody. Ray was a licensed minister and while traveling for his job, he would try to be in South Georgia on Wednesdays so that he could preach at a local church.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lee Dowda of Hiram; 3 daughters: Robin Harrison of Peachtree City, Pamela Dowda of Tyrone, Angela (Mark) Fowler of Dallas; 8 beloved grandchildren: Maegan, Avery, Kelsey, Darius, Drew, Travis, Jake and Sierra.
