Paul Boyo

Paul Oritseserundede Tamunoboma Boyo, 56, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on June 10, 2020 at WellStar Cobb Hospital. Born on December 4, 1963, in Benin City, Nigeria, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edna Boyo.

Paul was a loving father, husband, brother, and friend. To his friends, he was known as a gentle giant. He was always smiling, helping others, and always willing to listen. He loved listening to a variety of music from jazz to rap. He loved football, basketball, and driving high performance cars.

He took his last breath surrounded by family and is survived by his wife Ese and children Brandon, Sydney, and Robyn. His brothers and sister, Andrew Boyo, Olayinka Boyo-Bankole, his twin, Peter Boyo, and Charles BobManuel. His nieces and nephews, Princess Boyo, Prince Boyo, Lucy Bankole, Courtney Boyo, and Joseph Boyo. He was predeceased by his brother Jolomee Boyo and sister Dr. Helen Edeh.

He attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. He also attended Delaware State University where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked as a charge nurse in the Clinical Decision Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital for 19 years, where he was named Nurse of the Year in 2009.
