Patricia Rose Powell, age 63, of Marietta, GA passed away
on Thursday, May 3, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Born in Holden, Massachusetts, Patricia moved to Woodbridge, Virginia in 1980, and to Marietta, Georgia in 2003.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, supported several causes that were close to her heart, and had a very creative spirit.
She worked as a legal secretary in several law firms, and recently was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Marietta.
Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, John R. Powell, Marietta,
Georgia; son David Powell and wife Kristin, Apollo Beach, Florida;
daughter Cynthia Powell and fiance Thomas Stowell, Alexandria, Virginia;
two grandchildren, Samantha Powell and Miranda Powell, Apollo Beach, Florida; step brother Robert Kenney and wife Dot, Gilbert, Arizona; and aunt Maryann Bruno and husband John, Bristol, Rhode Island.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Foundation for Transplants @ www.transplants.org , or to your local humane society. West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia is in charge of arrangements. Online guestbook @ www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
