July 24, 1949 — November 6, 2015

Patricia R. Alister, age 66, of Powder Springs passed away November 6, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Thursday, November 12 at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, 2741 South Main Street, Kennesaw, GA 30144 with Rev. James Wright officiating. Interment will be at Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta.



Patricia was born in Marietta and was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant before retiring and a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and friends. She opened her heart and door to anyone in need. She will be greatly missed.



She is preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Parazie Redding, Sr. and brothers: Floyd Redding, Jr., Clarence Redding and Eric Redding. Patricia is survived by her husband of 18 years, Chukwuka Smith Alister; her children: Patrinia Cox of Powder Springs, Brandon (Demali Sealy) Cox of Powder Springs and special niece, Latoria Redding of Austell; brother, Kenneth (Janet) Redding of Birmingham, AL; 4 grandchildren: Brandon Cox, Jr, Ky-Mani Cox, Malia Cox and Jaden Redding; nephews: Jeremiah Redding, Justin Redding, Adrian Redding; uncle, Ernest Jackson and aunt Betty Jackson.



The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11 from 5 until 8 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Online guestbook available at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
