October 25, 1923 — July 30, 2017

Nicholas (Nick) John Pratt Sr., devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather joined Alice Harriett David Pratt, the love of his life on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Together again for all eternity. Nick was born October 26, 1923 in Red Bank, New Jersey. In 1943 he joined the Navy as a gun fire controlman on an amphibious landing craft. During his tour he received many metals and battle stars. In December 1946, he came home to marry his high school sweetheart. In 1950 the Korean War called him to service on the USS Luzon until 1952. In 1953 our family moved to Georgia where Nick pursued an electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a career at Lockheed, where many life friendships were formed. He was active in the Lockheed Management Club, Flying Club, Toastmasters, SAE. He served as an elder at Calvary Presbyterian Church and PTA President for several years. He was also a member of Kiwanis, Lost Mountain Chapter. He was passionate about his family, his country, and Georgia Tech. We will keep those flags flying high for you. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. All the good times fishing, camping, canoeing, and gatherings at the lake will always be wonderful memories for all of us. Your honor, integrity, and love that you have given will continue for generations.
