Nicholas D. "Niko" Bartolucci

Nicholas David “Niko” Bartolucci, age 24, of Smyrna, GA passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Sunday, March 19th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Niko was born in Coral Springs, FL as the fourth child of eight into a big Greek and Italian family. He lived in Suwanee, GA for many years before moving to Connecticut, and then recently back to Georgia to be near some of the family and friends that he loved fiercely.
As a kid, Niko’s home away from home was either the skatepark with friends or the woods for hunting and fishing with his Uncle Peter. Weekends were spent at the soccer fields where his already loud family turned deafening as they morphed into an exclusive supporters’ group.
As Niko grew older so did a deeper love for music and boxing, so much so that if he wasn’t interpreting the lyrics to a song, or rapping/singing them himself, then expect to find him shadow-boxing with everyone and anyone who would entertain it (and sometimes even those who wouldn’t).
He won the world over with his explosive force of charismatic energy that was unsparing to no one – “Say the name Niko and it rang like a bell.”
With a true Spartan spirit, Niko lived and honored a personal code best described as “Niko always would throw the first punch knowing he could lose the fight.” His passion and courage was to be revered by many but he will be remembered most for his heart of gold, which Niko endeavored to share with his family and friends to the very end.
