Morgan William Tuck

Morgan William Tuck, 86, Dallas, Georgia passed away on September 10, 2019 after prolonged health concerns. Mr. Tuck was born in Baltimore, MD on 12/24/1932 and traveled extensively around the world serving his country in the United States Army. He retired as Command Sergeant Major after 35 years in 1988. His accolades include a Silver Star and Bronze Star for valor, Purple Heart, Presidential Honor Guard, Green Beret and escapee from Hanoi Hilton where he was a POW for seven months. After his retirement, he and his wife, Margie Willis (deceased) moved to Chocowinity, NC where he enjoyed wood working and helping out in his community.
He is survived by his son, Tom Willis (Benita) of Dallas, GA. He has four grandchildren, Nicole Griffith (Zak) of Atlanta, GA, Ben Willis (Amber) of Marietta, GA, Courtney Garner (Bobby) of Fairhope, AL and Wesley Hall of Acworth, GA. He also enjoyed spending time with his great grandsons, Jake, Will, Trey and Gavin of Fairhope, AL. He has one living sister, Norma Pennington, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Predeceased before Mr. Tuck were his parents, Morgan and Dorothy Tuck, and three sisters, Iona Gill, Dorothy Weir, and Stella McQuay.
Mr. Tuck was baptized and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Powder Springs, GA. He loved attending church and working at the Christmas tree lot at Calvary Children’s Home, his beloved charity.
He was a kind, loving man that was “loved by all” and will be forever missed. There will be a private service held for his cremated remains in Chocowinity, NC at a later date.
