Michael David Morris

Michael David Morris, 48, of Marietta passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Allen Richburg officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens. A reception will follow at 2:00p.m. in Oaks Hall at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Morris served as a Consultant on the Advisory Board of Kennesaw State University. He was a GIS specialist at GDOT, Vice President of the Essex Park Homeowner Board, and was a current Coach for the Hillgrove Lacrosse Junior Hawks. He was a member of McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church where he served as an Impact Soccer Coach and Upward Basketball Coach. He is survived by his wife, Beth Morris of Marietta; Parents, Oliver and Barbara Morris of Dallas, GA; Children, Katia Morris of Hiram, Sarah Morris of Marietta and David Morris of Marietta; Brothers, Mark (Heather) Morris of Columbia, S.C. and Matthew (Claire) Morris of Woodstock, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd. Marietta, GA 30064.
