Melisa Kay Hollis, age 48, of Cobb County, Georgia passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hicks.
Born in Douglasville, Melisa graduated from South Cobb High School, then graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in education. She then taught school at Vaughn Elementary, Due West Elementary, and La Petite Academy . She attended Westridge Church in Dallas, GA.

Daughter, Brittany Kay (Alexander) Peterson, Douglasville, GA
Grandson: Raiden Peterson
Son: Johnathon Austin Crider, West Palm Beach, FL
Mother: Patsy K. Bouldin, Marietta, GA
