Martha Hendrix

Martha Ellen Hendrix, age 81, of Hiram, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. The family requests that everyone wear Christmas attire to the ceremony because that was Martha's favorite time of year.

Born in Atlanta, Mrs. Hendrix lived in Smyrna for most of her life before moving to Paulding County 11 years ago. She attended Georgia State University, then obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Kentucky. She enjoyed teaching music and donating time at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in the preschool and library.

Survivors include: 2 Children, Beth (Pat) Wilson, Powder Springs, GA and Steve (Shanna) Hendrix, Kennesaw, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Ashley Marshall, Kayla Schaffer, Will Hendrix and Darby Hendrix; 1 Great Grandchild, Finn Schaffer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martha Hendrix's memory to Burnt Hickory Baptist Church for purchasing books for the library. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
