Marcus Keith Wilson

Marcus Keith Wilson, Sr., (61), died peacefully Nov. 29, 2015 surrounded by family after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Stephens and Rev. Farren Roper officiating.  The family will receive friends before the service from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the church.  Keith was born in Albany, GA to Lynelle White and Paul Wilson.  He was blessed with a large and loving family.   In December 1996, Keith married Ellen Smith Wilson.  Together, they raised seven children.  Keith was the day-to-day caregiver to his youngest child Kathryn Mariah Wilson. Keith was a devoted father and husband.  He also dearly loved his church family at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church.    Keith is survived by his wife Ellen; seven children Mariah Wilson, Shane Wilson, Rebekah Smith, Marcus Keith Wilson, Jr., Donnie Smith, Emmy Marschalk (Paul), and Brooke Nelson (Paul); four grandchildren Allison and Noah Marschalk, and Gatlin and Fisher Nelson; mother Lynelle White; and sisters Linda Black, Effie Myers, and Susan Fawbush.  Keith was preceded in death by sisters Paula White and Jan Jones.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NOAH Ministry Children’s Building Fund at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, 5145 Due West Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
