Loyd Fletcher Vaughn

Loyd Fletcher Vaughn, a resident of Austell, GA was taken home to be with our Lord, on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021. Loyd was 74 years old.

Loyd was born in Atlanta, GA on October 24,1947 to the late Fletcher David Vaughn and Lillie Bell Barrett Vaughn. Loyd is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Clark Vaughn, daughter, Lindsey A. Vaughn Smith and son-in-law, W. Eric Smith, son Bradford C. Vaughn and Daughter-in-law, Christina A. Vaughn, three grandchildren, sister, Martha "Nancy" Vaughn Cate, brother-in-law Steven L. Clark and sisters-in-law Angela Clark, Nell Fowler Vaughn, and Cynthia Clark Hawkins, several and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Loyd retired in 2007 after 33 years with Six Flags Over Georgia, Park Mechanic Shop. Loyd loved his job - especially Carousel Hill and Hanson Cars. As his father before him, Loyd was a mechanic and thoroughly enjoyed his work.

Visitation will be at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2480 Macland Rd. SW, Marietta, GA 30064 on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, from 12:00-2:00 PM with Memorial Services at 2:00 PM

Burial services will be held after memorial services at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA. 30064.

Loyd was a very kind and caring man who will be missed by his loving family and all those who knew him.
