Louie J. Collins

Louie J. Collins, age 90, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Steven Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

Born and raised in Walhalla, SC, Mr. Collins moved to Georgia in 1962. He worked with the Carpenters Union for over 60 years, retiring from the C.D. Dunn Construction Company of Jasper, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maebell Couch Collins, his parents, Lewis and Elvie Collins, and nine of fourteen siblings.

Survivors include: Five Children: Eldis Marie (Bobby) Curry of Marietta, GA, Debra Gail (David) Jones of Clarksville, TN, Brenda Croft of Marietta, GA, Robert (Nancy) Collins of Marietta, GA and Curtis Collins of Wedowee, AL; Three Brothers: Olin Collins, K.L. Collins and Ralph Collins; Sister: Linda Lay; 18 Grandchildren, 27 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 8th from 12pm to 2pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.
