Kenneth James Smith

Kenneth James Smith, age 89, of Marietta, GA passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Scott Brown officiating.

A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Smith moved to Marietta in 1969. He served in the United States Navy at the end of WWII, and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he retired after 20 years of service. Afterwards, he worked in the construction industry. He also enjoyed traveling, bowling and playing golf.

Wife: Barbara Smith, Marietta, GA

Daughter: Lesley (Jim) Schornak, Ashville, AL

Granddaughter: Susan (Andrew) Wolfgang, Acworth, GA

Great Grandson: Tristan Schornak, Franklin, KY

Granddaughter-in-Law: Robyn Schornak, Franklin, KY

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the WoundedWarriorProject.org, or to your favorite charity. The family will have a reception immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
