Katierine Jacobs

Katierine Lucas Jacobs, age 84, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Thomas and Teresa Goggins officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta. Katierine L. Jacobs was born July 18th, 1937; the youngest child born to Collie Metzger in Hughes, Arkansas. She moved to Toledo, Ohio at the age of 3 and was raised by her oldest sister Roberta Moore. Katierine attended Scott High School until she went to live with Uncle Wille.

Her love for Christ began as a young woman in 1952 moving in the gifts of healing and prophetic ministry. She later became a Seventh Day Adventist in 1991, where she professed and lived her life for Jesus Christ.

She worked as a Nursing Assistant for Autumn Wood Nursing (Toledo, Ohio). She later found a passion as a Seamstress. She was Head Seamstress for London Fog (Savannah, GA) until her retirement in 1994.

Katierine re-connected with her high school sweetheart, Garfield Jacobs; moved to Savannah, GA and married. They remained married as a loving couple until his death in 2008.

She departed this life with a smile on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. She was proceeded in death by all of her siblings except one, the one she loved dearly and fondly called “Lindy”; Merlinda Page of Powder Springs, GA. Gone before her are Roberta Moore, William Arthur Lucas, Jeatrine Gaston, Richard Gaston and Christine Fitzpatrick all from Toledo, Ohio. Grandchildren preceding her are Shaun Powell (Sylvia) 2008 and Damarr Smith (Sedaleyer) 2014.

Living to cherish her memory and legacy are her beautiful 3 children Sedaleyer Lucas - Powder Springs, GA; Jasper Lucas -Toledo, Ohio; Sylvia Powell - Savannah, GA. 14 Grandchildren: Delshonda (Leonard) - Dallas, GA; Mary Nicole Lucas - Toledo, OH; Katierine (Llyod) Height -Pooler, GA; Malva (Calvin) Ashley - Dallas, GA; Deval Lucas – Port Clinton, OH; Fredrick (Marcera) Powell - Hinesville, GA; Malcolm Hayes - Powder Springs, GA; Joanna Powell - Savannah, GA; Melissa Lucas - Powder Springs, GA; Dustin Lucas – Port Clinton, OH; Deon Lucas - Powder Springs, GA; Isiah Lucas - Toledo, OH; Angalena Lucas - Toledo, OH; Jasmine Lucas - Toledo, OH. 33 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
