Karen Elaine Hackett

Karen Elaine Hackett, age 59, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Randy Scalise officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta,GA.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jack Hatfield and Mona Shriver Faust and stepdad, Joe Faust; two brothers: Jackie and Dean Hatfield.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years and a day Mike Hackett; daughter: Shanna Hackett; son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Ashley Johnson; her stepmother, Janice Hatfield; two grandchildren: Kaelin Hackett and Jordan Johnson; two sisters: Sherry Mulkey of Covington, Cindy Gibbs of Acworth; two brothers: Andy Faust of Memphis, TN and Joey Faust of Orlando, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs Hackett has been a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area since she was six years old. She was a 1973 graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Marietta, a former member of the Red Hat Society, and a mentor for the Cobb County School System. She also loved to ride motorcycles, camping, reading and crocheting blankets and making hook rugs.
