John Murdy, Sr.

John Raymond Murdy, Sr., age 79, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away April 6, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Rodney Colston officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

Mr. Murdy was a native of New Hampshire an has lived the past 18 years in Powder Springs. He is a United States Marine Veteran. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, helping in Cub Scouts, cooking and Nascar. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include: wife of 51 years Ingrid Murdy of Powder Springs, GA; son: John Murdy, Jr. of Connecticut; daughter: Kimberly Lynn Murdy of Georgia; two grandchildren: Jordan and Gus; sister: Mary Avery; two brothers: William Murdy and Willie Sherman; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11:00 am until noon at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
