John Albert Amandolia Jr.

September 5, 1935 — December 21, 2016

John Albert Amandolia, Jr. age 81, of Austell, passed away on December 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta. Mr. Amandolia was born on September 5, 1935 to John A. Amandolia Sr. and Lenora Willoughby Amandolia in Atlanta, GA. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing and serving in the nursery at church. He was preceded in death by his son in law, Steve Thomas. Mr. Amandolia is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Lorene Henry Amandolia; children, John and Dale Amandolia III, Andy and Brooke Amandolia, Cindy and Brian Saunders and Joy and Steve Hunt; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Amandolia. The family will receive friends at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Donations can be made to the Burnt Hickory Bible School Fund, 5145 Due West Rd.
