Jim Kennon Barker

Jim Kennon Barker, age 89, of Marietta passed away September 18, 2013. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Barker was a native of Columbus and lived in Smyrna most of his life. After retiring from Lockheed Martin after 34 years, he moved to Florida. He served in the Marines during WWII . He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #29 and a member of VFW in Palm Coast, FL and a member of Spring Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Fannie Barker of DeBary, FL; children: Linda (Ken) Hopkinson of DeBary, FL; Ila (Mike) Gaskin of Harrison, TN; Iris Goode of Marietta, GA; Jim (Marilyn) Barker of DeBary, FL; Dorothy Williams of Tyler, TX; Jerry Whitworth of Tyler, TX and Gloria Deen of Flagler Beach, FL; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
