Jeffrey Michael Palmer, age 47, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away October 26, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Born in Atlanta, Jeff lived most of his life in Cobb County. He graduated from Sprayberry High School, attended Tommy Nobis Vocational Training center and subsequently graduated from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute. He also took computer training classes at the South Cobb Community Services Center in Mableton, Georgia.
Jeff participated in Georgia Special Olympics for several years. He competed in golf, basketball, tennis and softball and won several medals.
Jeff was an avid video gamer and, among other things, loved Star Wars and Star Trek themed movies. His favorite time of year was Halloween. So he also enjoyed scary movies as well. He enjoyed playing with his radio controlled cars, airplanes and drones and learning as much as he could about how they work.
Jeff valued his friends, always had a smile for everyone and used his great sense of humor to entertain all who knew him. He had an active social life and had many friends.
While his work life was limited by many health issues, Jeff had many part-time jobs over the years. His most significant job, in terms of time, was with Cobb County Community Services Board. Initially a member of the disabled population that took advantage of the services provided by the County agency, his talents associated with working with computers were soon recognized by the County staff and he was hired to teach disabled community members the basics of using the internet and computer gaming. He was employed there for seventeen years. Jeff also spent a significant amount of his time volunteering with agencies that work with the disabled to find housing, part-time jobs and other services.
He will be missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

His Parents, Roger and Vicki Palmer, who live in Powder Springs, GA;
His Brother, Scott and sister-in-law, Brandi Palmer, along with his nieces Savanna and Bethany who live in Acworth, GA;
His Aunt, Jacki and Uncle Rick Yarborough who live in Austell, Ga;
His Cousin, Amy Bishop and her husband, Mike and their daughter, Mikayla.
