Jed Albert McNatt

Jed Albert McNatt, age 62, of Mableton, GA passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2019. He was born in Atlanta, GA on December 8th, 1956 to Thomas and Edith McNatt. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a nephew, Todd McNatt.

Jed was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area. He worked for more than 30 years in the industrial industry and most recently worked in the heating and air conditioning business as a salesman. He was a member of the Smyrna/Burnt Hickory Church of Christ for more than 40 years where he served as a worship leader and was very involved in the youth ministry. Jed had a great love for his family and friends.He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He was a very accomplished musician who not only had a beautiful singing voice, but also played numerous instruments.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marsha Acuff McNatt, one son, Maxwell Thomas McNatt, and three daughters, Melody Lynn McNatt, Molly Elizabeth McNatt, and Tashara Jazz Harrison. He also leaves behind three brothers, Ovid, Wayne, and Lester McNatt, as well as his extended family, Claude and Beth Collins ,and three sisters, Susan Miller, Stephanie Thompson, and Sandi Sellers, many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February the 6th, 2019 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the West Cobb Funeral Home at 2480 Macland Road in Marietta, GA. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, February the 7th between 12:30pm and 1:30pm at the Macland Road Church of Christ. His funeral will be held on Thursday February the 7th at 2:00pm at the Macland Road Church of Christ with ministers David Decker, Mike Gurganus, and Justin Moore officiating.The burial will take place following the funeral at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, to help cover medical expenses, contributions can be sent to the family at Burnt Hickory Church of Christ, or to Mission Upreach through the Burnt Hickory Church of Christ Missions Committee.
