James Hoyt Morgan, age 81, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday, November 27th in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dallas.
Born April 24, 1936, Hoyt, son of Emmett and Gladys Morgan, was born, raised, and lived his life in Powder Springs, Georgia. Hoyt retired from MARTA after 36 years of service.
Hands and heart never idle, Hoyt paused his life whenever someone needed his help. The world will likely never know another man as loving and supporting.
He was stern and serious, but also quick to laugh. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends, with generations both old and new.
He is loved deeply, and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, three children, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.
