James Edward Green

James Edward "Ed" Green passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019; he was 92. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Beverly Sosebee Green; son Gary Green and wife Sandra, Fairfax VA; granddaughter Olivia Green, Arlington, VA; grandson Andrew Green, Brooklyn, NY; and nephews Max Green and Larry Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Gladys Green, his brother Clarence Green, sister Lois Lockaby, and sister-in-law Barbara Stephens. Ed served in the Navy in World War II and retired from Damar, Inc. in 1988. He was a longtime member of Roswell Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 12:30pm until 2pm, followed immediately by a service at 2pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Nelson Price officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park with Dr. Michael Lewis officiating.
