Isabel Hurtado

Isabel Hurtado, age 82, of Marietta, Georgia passed away December 27, 2021. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, GA.

Isabel Hurtado was born 11-27-39 in Guanacevi Durango Mexico. Her father was Guadalupe Arellano, and her mother was Martina Santellanes. Isabel was the Second oldest sibling out of 6, 4 Brothers and 1 sister. Placida, Isabel, Guillermo, Juan, Vicente, and Jose. When she moved to the USA she began working as a chef for almost 35 years for Holy family Catholic Church in Glendale, California. In 1977 she married Gonzalo Hurtado and became a Mother of two: Francisco and Maria. She was a grandmother of 5 amazing grandkids: Edgar, Elizabeth, Adrian, Fernando, and Leonardo. She was also a great-grandmother of 1: Darleny. She loved to cook and dance. She was always making a feast for a small gathering. Always thinking of others and giving to the more needed without expecting anything back. Unfortunately, on 12/27/21 her heart stopped beating and she moved to a better place. She was a warrior who fought till the end. She will be missed but sooner or later we will be reunited. We love you Isabel.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, GA.
