Hazel Moody Neill

Mrs. Hazel Moody Neill, age 90, of Smyrna, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, GA.



Born in Fort Valley, GA, Mrs. Neill lived in the Atlanta area for most of her life. She retired from Rich’s Department Store and had been a member of the Hapeville and East Point United Methodist Churches, the Order of the Eastern Star, and numerous civic and social groups. She was also a talented china painter, a Girl Scout leader, an Advisor to the Rainbow Girls, and taught ballroom dancing.



Survivors include:



2 Daughters: Marsha Cook and husband Ben, Marietta, GA

Dorothy Dowell and husband Mike, Powder Springs, GA



Brother: Warren L. Moody, Newnan, GA



3 Grandchildren: Cathy Cook, Michelle Meyers and husband Aaron, and Tracy Nursey and husband Derrick



2 Great Grandchildren: Ella and Sam Meyers



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home. Online guestbook @ www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
