Hazel Marie Johnson

Hazel Marie Johnson, age 97, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away November 25, 2021. Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm Central Time on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery in Quitman, LA. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Quitman, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Johnson, son Harold Johnson and infant daughter Charlotte Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Quitman, LA living in Bossier City, LA before moving to Powder Springs, GA 22 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith, she was a volunteer at the Shrine Hospital for Children in Shreveport, LA and was in the Lady Shrine in Shreveport, LA.

Survivors include: four children: Cynthia Johnson of Powder Springs, GA, Marylyn Johnson (Gene) Beall of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Richard (Deborah) Johnson of Powder Springs, GA and Laura Kyness Creekmore of Whitehall, NY; daughter-in-law: Cyndy Johnson of Bossier City, LA; sister: Lorraine Kirkham of Quitman, LA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
