Harold Devere Appleby
August 9, 1937 — April 22, 2016
Harold Devere Appleby of Villa Rica passed away peacefully on Friday April 22nd 2016 at the age 78. He leaves behind a wife of 58 years, Laverne Irene, five sons, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Harold served in the USAF. He spent 37 years as a police officer and detective including 22 years with the Cobb County Police Department. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica on Saturday May 7th at 1 pm and officiated by Ordained Minister Rick Wadsworth. The church is located at 1483 W. Hwy 78, Villa Rica Ga. 30180. Please donate money in lieu of flowers. Psalm 118:24 & Matthew 25:21.
West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta was in charge of the final arrangements.
