Gus Reymar

April 7, 1974 — September 4, 2017

Gus “mono” Reymar, age 43, of Marietta, Georgia passed away September 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Gentil Reyes and Ofelia Builes, as well as his brother Rafael.
Gus was first and foremost a family man in every sense of the word. He adored his wife and children and did everything for them. The bond they built as a family is unbreakable and the memories they built together will provide comfort and joy to them and those who know them.
To say that Gus was a good father is an understatement, he was the type of dad who made Valentina’s bun for ballet and took her to a Selena Gomez concert days after having shoulder surgery… the injury related to the surgery is a whole different story and very him … He would take Lucca to soccer practices and back to back games during the weekend, in the summer, in Georgia, without cover… that’s love and commitment! They would also have boys’ outings to games, car racing, monster truck shows and more… But beyond the bond, he was there for them every day with the little things that count and make you feel loved… waking them up every morning, coming up with special breakfasts, packing their lunches, buying their favorite snacks, seeing them off to school, waiting for them at the bus stop… and more, MUCH more.
Then there is the love story… There is no Gus without Nancy and no Nancy without Gus… their story started almost 25 years ago and will continue beyond his passing, because when you are such a part of someone, not even death can take that from you. They grew up together, evolved as people, made each other better and weathered the good and the bad together… the only thing they did not share was their last name… again that’s a whole other story and also VERY him
To his family, friends and anyone who knew him, Gus was the caring and crazy guy that would always make you laugh and be there for you unconditionally. “Social” is about 10 levels down from what Gus was, he could make instant friends and have people like him effortlessly… He was silly, funny, irreverent and always up for a good time… He did not take crap from anyone either… his “puto genio” is yet another story for those lucky enough to have known him closely, and VERY VERY him His presence was large and enduring.
The loss of Gus is incomprehensible to all of us and will be for a long time. To say that he will be missed is so small and cannot describe the void and sadness we all feel… but he will be remembered and loved always and the memories each one of us has, will keep him alive forever.
Survivors include his wife Nancy and two children, Lucca and Valentina. As well as his siblings, Eduardo, Cesar, Amanda, Amparo, Julia Rosa, Lucila, Mercedes and several nieces and nephews.

GODSPEED MONO!
