Gloria Jean Gates passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019. A memorial service will be held for Ms. Gates on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Love will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10 AM on Monday, December 16, 2019. Ms. Gates was a member of Southside Springfield Baptist Church.
Ms. Gates was preceded in death by, her daughter, Doris Jean Harris Holt. Ms. Gates is survived by: her son, Walter (Deborah) Gates of Powder Springs, GA; her sister, Ruby Fowler of Atlanta, GA; her brother, Raymond Brown of Deer Park, NY; her two grandchildren, Sherwonda Gates and Terry Gates; her three great-grandchildren Shanta, Jasmine, and Joe; 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
