Gerald Alan Marshall

Ret. MSgt Gerald Alan Marshall, Sr., age 67, of Austell, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, February 13, 2012, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Inurnment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 2:00pm. Born in Corning, NY, Mr. Marshall moved to Austell 7 years ago from Texas. Mr. Marshall retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He then began his civilian service for the military and retired at Dobbins Air Force Base 26 years later. Survivors include his wife, Saundra Marshall of Austell; children, Gerald A. Marshall, Jr. and wife, Sandi of Orlando, FL, Scott F. Marshall and wife, Melissa of San Diego, CA, Leonard C. Lewis, IV and wife, Evelyn of Joelton, TN, Tara Shell and husband, Bob of Franklin, TN and Michal Caldwell and husband, David of Franklin, TN; brothers, Howard Marshall of Painted Post, NY and Philip Marshall of Phoenix, AZ and grandchildren, Brody Rane Marshall, Gemma Bella Marshall, Mena Sophia Marshall, Ava Mary Marshall, Kelly Nicole Marshall, Bailey Balliett Marshall, Trevor Scott Marshall, Brody Balliett Marshall, Leonard C. Lewis, V, Sarah Lewis, Lauren Shell, Jordan Shell, Bobby Shell, Emily Caldwell and Anna Claire Caldwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00am until the service.
