Everett “Shorty” Nathaniel Hansard, 88, of Marietta, GA passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 2pm on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Macland Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Walker, Rev. Sam Shipp, and Rev. Bobby Padgett officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta. Mr. Hansard was a member of Macland Baptist Church where he attended the Real Men's Sunday School Class. He was retired from General Motors in Chamblee and was also previously employed with Cobb Hardware, True Value Hardware at Belmont Hills and Duprees in Marietta. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet Hansard in 2010. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Barbara and Everett Cook of Winston; Sister, Montree and her husband John L. Martin of Cumming; 3 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd.
