Ethel Delores Allen

Ethel Delores Allen, 93, of Powder Springs, formerly of Morganton, GA died September 20, 2014 after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glover Allen; Parents, John and Myrtle Stewart; Brothers, Arvil Stewart, Johnny Stewart, Winston Stewart; Sisters, Edith Stewart, Edie Hyde, Willa Mae Johnson, Marie Duke and Reathel Barton.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Kelley; Son and Daughter-in-law, Roy and Gwin Allen; Grandchildren, Sonja Kelley-Ray, Tracey Allen, Winston Allen; Great Grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Tyler Smith, Margo Kelley; Great-Great Grandchild, Payson Smith; Brothers, Norman Stewart, Harold Stewart; Sisters, Effie Free, Glee Wright, Essilee Watkins, Thelma Davenport and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allen was born in North Carolina but called Georgia home all of her life. She was a seamstress for Levi Strauss for many years and enjoyed quilting and gardening.

The family will receive friends at Hemptown Baptist Church in Morganton from 1-2 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm.
